John Lawton sets up a home in Kavarna
The frontman of the legendary band "Uriah Heep" John Lawton brought his wife in Kavarna. The two of them have bought recently an apartment near the sea coast. A newcomer in the region is also the English national rugby player Mark Cueto.
Some well-known settlers of the picturesque village of Kamen briag (close to the town of Kavarna) are the Minister of Justice Miglena Tacheva and one of the founders of the fourth political party in the nation - Union of Democratic Forces, Edvin Sugarev. Kavarna has also attracted a few prominent Bulgarians such as the orthopedist Prof. Shoylev, Alexander Bozhkov, Teddy Moscov, the journalist Peter Volgin and Valentin Tanev, an actor. Last, but not least, the actor Andrey Slabakov bought himself a second home at the coast of Kavarna. His colleague Stanka Kalcheva from the Sofia Youth Theatre also owns a piece of land there. Kavarna is growing more and more popular among the political elite as well and Mr. Stefan Sofianski, the former mayor of Sofia, is not the only one, who often visits his sea estate in the village of Poruchik Chunchevo located between Kavarna and Shabla.
